I think we are going to have a hard time weaning you off your pacifier! I found you sleeping with three of them when I went to check on you yesterday afternoon during your nap! Two of them were tightly clutched in your hands and one was in your mouth-it was so hilarious! I just stood there quietly laughing because I don’t even know where you found them all-you must have had a secret stash somewhere in your crib!

Being your mommy is a dream come true and so much more than I ever expected! I am beyond excited every morning to walk into your room, take you up out of your crib, shower you with kisses and see how our day unfolds together! As I pick you up each day, I feel you getting heavier and see your baby face maturing into a little girl, I am reminded how quickly you are growing up and I feel desperate to soak up your sweetness! During the quiet moments of our day when you are sleeping in my arms or playing peacefully by yourself, I find myself staring at you with a smile on my face and feeling so proud to be your mommy! I love you!
I can’t believe last year at this time I was starting to pack my hospital bag, we were finishing up your nursery and anxiously awaiting your arrival! Now, we are listening to you say mama and dada, watching you get ready to take your first steps and planning your first birthday party-how time flies when you are having fun!
One of your favorite things to do is play in bed with mommy and daddy! You love to play peek-a-boo under the blankets with us and jump on to our fluffy comforter! It makes me so happy to see you smile and enjoy playing. I remember when we got this outfit as a gift, it looked so big to me, I thought you would never fit into it. And here you are, fitting into it and growing up before my eyes. Part of me would love to freeze time and keep you my little baby, but the other part of me is having way too much fun watching you grow into an amazing little girl!
