Photo sessions typically last an hour to an hour and a half depending on the number of people attending and if children are present. If children are included in the photo session we like to spend a few extra minutes getting to know them and helping them feel comfortable with the camera before we start. When photographing children, it is best that they are well rested and fed prior to the shoot. Please feel free to bring some of their favorite items like toys, stuffed animals, a blanket or a book.

We specialize in on-location natural light photography so all photo sessions are shot outdoors at the location of your choice.  Some wonderful locations of the Lowcountry to choose from are the beaches and parks of Hilton Head, your own backyard or whatever place you love. The best time of day to schedule an outdoor photo session is late afternoon before sunset.

Clothing and color choices are important when planning for the photo session. Solid and simple colors look best for shirts or dresses in natural light, as well as khakis and jeans for pants. For family portraits, it is important to coordinate with each other and have similar styles and colors.
