I was in heaven photographing Erin and Bobby’s wedding on the beach in Hilton Head, not only because they are a gorgeous couple, but also because the weather was so perfect-a cool breeze and cloudy. I thought it would be fun and also helpful to my clients if I started a post on what to wear for sessions. I know it is hard to know what will look nice in photographs and how to make colors work together, so I wanted to try to make it a little easier by posting an example. I absolutely love the classic look of white/khaki/jeans for beach portraits, but if you are looking at having your family wear a little color, then it is very important to know how to coordinate the colors so that everyone will match. If you notice in the example below, the little girls dress is patterned and all the other outfits have coordinating colors pulled from that one dress. The color combinations and styles look fabulous together! I am not advocating that you go out and buy these particular outfits, although if you see something you like the stores where they can be found are listed below. I merely want to show how different clothing pieces can be pulled from your closets and put together in ways that make your family look great! I will post more examples every couple of months, especially during the seasons. Hopefully these examples will help!

Everytime T. and J. looked at each other you could just see the love and the sparks fly! They are such a beautiful couple not only on the outside, but also on the inside and they were wonderful people to work with. Stef and I feel so lucky to have shared their wedding day with them and had the opportunity to capture their love. Here are a few of my favorites from the day!
I love these shots of them on the balcony! They are so romantic- it makes me think of a balcony off of a villa somewhere in the countryside of Italy!

The ceremony was so beautiful and intimate! The wind was blowing just enough to keep us all cool and the sun was casting soft, dreamy light on everything. During the ceremony there were more than a dozen kites flying overhead in the sky-it just made the day that much more magical! And as soon as they were married J. swept T. right off her feet!
The bridal party was a blast to photograph on the beach!
